By preserving pottery, a traditional art of Crete with roots in 7000 BC, and developing it so that it serves modern decorative and utilitarian needs, Michalis Choulakis completes more than 25 years of involvement in the manufacture of handmade ceramics.
His collection includes designs of pottery items found in excavations of the Minoan period: Knossos, Pithari, Pithos, Koronios, Minoan, Boyatzopitharo, Brika, Amphora. Handmade, formed on pottery wheels and tracks, baked with a core in wood kilns, the vases are characterized by the unique aesthetics of Greek, Thrapsani pottery. New designs cover the needs of modern homes and gardens: Electra, Munich, Ikaros, Panos, Voni, Spyros.
Particular attention is paid to ensuring the durability of ceramics by applying waterproofing materials against moisture and ice. Only materials are used, the composition of which is based on water, so that they are friendly to the environment.
